The Client’s Situation

Our client owns a bouncy castle & inflatable play hire business, which had been trading for a little over 12 months. They had an opportunity to expand their business and lease a commercial premises which would be run as an indoor soft play centre. However, they were struggling to come up with the necessary capital and a request for a loan from their bank was declined due to lack of trading history.

Our Task

To raise £230,000 to assist our client with the purchasing of equipment and to support their cashflow requirements whilst they moved to their new premises. The lease was due to be signed within 10 days therefore we needed to use our knowledge and experise to source the most suitable solution, with a quick turnaround.

Our Actions

We secured £195,000 finance which facilitated the purchase of the soft play equipment, kitchen, bathroom and sitting area for the centre; as well as furniture and fittings. We also sourced a working capital facility of £35,000 to ease their cashflow concerns, with both facilities being agreed within 24 hours of our initial meeting with the client.

The Results

With both facilities being secured by a personal guarantee only and no tangible security available, the client received the required funds within 4 days. The client has now started renovating the premises with an opening date of early October 2017.
