We’re all familiar with April showers – well, this month’s newsletter has a positive deluge of great articles for you!

The Budget certainly hit the headlines, with a significant amount of political fall-out. Welcome initiatives included the cutting of Capital Gains Tax, the increasing of the ISA limit and the tax-free personal allowance, with a surprise announcement of the new Lifetime ISA for any adult under 40. The Leave and Remain debate over the EU referendum continues to gain momentum and we will keep you informed of any economic implications.

It’s been 75 years in the making and the topic for countless philosophers to muse over, but a US study seems to have finally uncovered the secret to happiness and health. Speaking during a TED Talk, Harvard professor Robert Waldinger revealed that, though wealth and fame continue to be commonly cited desires amongst millennials the research he presides over has found only one consistent factor: positive relationships.

Tax cuts now, payback later – what will the Budget of 2019 look like?

The Chancellor will need to reduce borrowing by £32bn in 2019-20 – the biggest ever annual cash consolidation – in order to meet his Budget surplus target by the end of parliament, according to a new post-Budget briefing report published by the Resolution Foundation. The Foundation’s post-Budget report shows how the Chancellor has chosen to respond to the £55bn fiscal black hole identified by the Office for.

KDW Awarded ‘Shopper’s Choice’ by Mystery Shopper

We are delighted to share with you that in a recent ‘Mystery Shopper’ for The Financial Adviser, Mark Mason was awarded the shopper’s choice, scoring an impressive 34 out of 35! The Mystery shopper approached five advisers in the North London area for mortgage advice on behalf of their mother. Their mother was looking to decrease her monthly mortgage payments as a result of a drop in income.
