Afternoon Tea with KDW
On Thursday 8th September we hosted a really enjoyable afternoon at Sopwell House. We wanted to invite people to an event where they could catch up with our team in an informal and enjoyable setting and hopefully take something away from the day. As a result we decided to host afternoon tea at Sopwell House.

Guests began to arrive at Sopwell House from 3pm and were greeted by the Tesla Model S, which was on display. The impressive car, which goes from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds, was parked in the forecourt of the hotel and proved popular with guests. In fact 3 cars were sold on the day!

Once inside the hotel, our friendly team were on hand to welcome guests and direct them through to the main room where a delicious afternoon tea was laid out and a raffle table with some truly great prizes were on offer.

We were fundraising for Myeloma UK and were really pleased to receive donations from local businesses such as Odyssey Cinema, The Pudding Stop, Sopwell House, The Beer Shop, The Thai Rack and the Lower Red pub. We raised an impressive £1,045 on the day which will go towards helping Myeloma UK with the research and support of Myeloma patients.

Seminars were taking place throughout the afternoon with subjects ranging from ‘A guide to equity release’ to ‘Brexit Three Months On’. Sessions were extremely well attended with some people even standing at the back once all of the seats were taken!

We received lots of feedback from clients after saying how informative they found the sessions with one client of ours, Ronnie Lloyd, saying the seminars had given him ‘a lot to think about’.
